About Debra Orringer
Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist
Meet Debra: Your Menopause Mapmaker
With over 25 years of experience in clinical exercise physiology and a background leading wellness programs at NASA Kennedy Space Center, I bring a level of scientific depth to midlife coaching that goes beyond generic advice or one-size-fits-all plans. I work exclusively with women navigating perimenopause and menopause who are ready to understand what is actually happening in their bodies and build habits that genuinely support how they feel day to day.
Midlife can feel confusing and isolating, especially when the changes happening in your body are real but the support around you is not. I know this not just professionally but personally. My own health journey showed me how often women are told to push harder or be more disciplined when what they actually need is someone who will listen, ask the right questions, and offer guidance rooted in science and compassion.
A Personal Journey That Inspires My Work
I know what it feels like to be in a body that isn't working the way you want it to. Years before I became a coach, I lost 100 pounds, and that process taught me more about sustainable change and what women actually need than any certification program ever could. It also showed me how rarely women get the right support, the right information, and someone who genuinely listens — all at the same time.
That experience is what drives me. When I sit across from a client who feels frustrated, dismissed, or just plain exhausted, I am not approaching that moment from a textbook. I have been in a version of that chair too. And what I built through that journey became the foundation for everything I bring to my clients today.

Nourishment as a Foundation
Not a Rule
My training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition deepened my understanding of how food, mindset, and daily habits shape the way women feel in midlife. Nourishment is one of the four pillars at the core of my coaching approach and I treat it that way. Not as a set of rules to follow or foods to avoid, but as one important piece of a much bigger picture that includes how you move, how you rest, and how connected you feel to the people and things that matter most.
